    Bitter Orange Oil
Mezes News Bites from Greece Biolea, makers of certified stone ground, organic extra virgin olive oil is introducing a wild, new flavored oil called Nerantzi. Pressed with carefully harvested Koroneiki olives, this new bitter orange- flavored oil gives off an aroma of orange blossoms and leaves a flavorful tingle of orange rind on the palate. It is particularly well- suited for marinades, though it is lovely as a salad oil as well. Biolea is represented by Demeter’s Pantry in the US, which offers many other wonderful Greek products, including the Epikouria editorial group’s favorite, pine honey. The oil will be available for tasting at the summer Fancy Food Show in New York.
